About Ramona GarduñoRamona Garduño, a native New Mexican, performed for four years with Maria Benitez Teatro Flamenco for their summer seasons in Santa Fe and their national tours as well as performing with Noche Flamenco in New York City. She performed with many local groups including Rincon Flamenco, Los Serranos and Pueblo Flamenco de Santa Fe. During her several trips to Spain, she studied with Ciro, Alejandro Granados, Belen Maya, La Tati, Manolo Marin and others. She was a performer for many years at local Flamenco venues like El Farol and was featured dancer for 6 years at El Meson. Ramona has taught Flamenco for many years in Santa Fe and is excited to be working again with the Institute for Spanish Arts.
About Mina Valle FajardoMina Valle Fajardo, has received extensive training in flamenco, Escuela bolero, jazz, Tap and ballet. Mina has received flamenco training in Spain from El Guito, Carmera Greco, Ciro, La Tati, La China, Alejandro Granados, Yolanda Heredia, Eva La Yerbabuena, Andres Marin, Joaquin Ruiz and Keiko Issiki. She has taught in the Maria Benitez Institute for Spanish Arts, Eva Encinias Sandoval’s National Institute of Flamenco and for the Spanish Institute of Dance in Houston, Texas, and Fazil Dance Studio in New York City. Fajardo has performed in Japan, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Denver, Houston, Maryland and Albuquerque and has made several appearances on television in Manhattan, New Mexico and Japan. In Santa Fe, She has performed at the Santa Fe Opera and in the Santa Fe Jazz and International Music Festival at the Lensic Theatre. She has performed with many artists including Elena Andujar, El Pripi, La Tibu, Carmen Rasarao, Chuscales, YiYi, Silverio Heredia, Tequila de Jerez, Omayra Amaya, Juan Siddi and Keiko Isshiki. She performed in many productions including "My Gypsy Soul"(Santa Fe, 2012), "Chuscales at Old Main, Boulder"(2011), "Chuscales y Mina Fajardo con Las Tres Mujeres" (2010), "Chuscales Live at MIT" (Boston, 2009), Telluride Jazz Festival (2008), "Soul del Arte Tradiciones e Innovaciones"(San Francisco, 2005), "Ainadamar, Landscapes and Impression" Santa Fe Opera (2005), "A Night of Flamenco Magic” Lakewood Cultural Center (Denver, CO, 2005), "Santa Fe Jazz and International Music Festival" (2004 & 2001), The John E. Morlow Guitar Series “ Flamenco Night” (Chevy Chase, MD, 2004), SJC Multicultural Arts Series “Flamenco” (San Juan Capistrano, CA, 2003). She appeared in films "Flamenco Passion & Soul" (1999), "El Payo" (2010). She currently performs with Chuscales at Local Tablao in Santa Fe.

About Emmy GrimmEmmy has been dancing since age 5. Her dance training began with tap and ballet. She was a member of Maria Benitez's youth dance troupe, Flamenco's Next Generation, since its inception in 2002. She has studied with some of Spain's finest dancers when they were brought to Santa Fe to teach for the International Spanish Dance & Music workshops for each of the 17 years of these workshops. Throughout the years she has studied extensively under Maria Benitez and prominent dancers such as Antonio Granjero and Estefania Ramirez. In fall 2011 and 2012 Emmy performed with Antonio Granjero's "Entre Flamenco" professional group and has performed in many venues in northern New Mexico with professional flamenco guitarists and singers. She was awarded the 2012 Mayors Award for Excellence in the Arts, an award that honors those who have made an outstanding contribution to arts and culture in Santa Fe. Emmy consistently receives high evaluations for her teaching skills. She began teaching at age 14 and is a sought after teacher of Flamenco in Santa Fe at the public schools and at the Institute for Spanish Arts and throughout Northern New Mexico.
About Illeana GomezIlleana Gomez began her dance studies at a young age, studying ballet and classical Spanish dance at the Alta Gracia Garcia school and the Mina Gutierrez Hachar dance school in Laredo, Texas. In 2003, she got her first taste of professional performance, performing with the groups Flamenco Fuego de San Antonio, and Tierra Adentro Cuadro Flamenco. Since then, she pursued intensive flamenco studies, traveling to Spain frequently to study at Amor de Dios school in Madrid or at various schools, including Juana Amaya’s academy in Seville. In 2006, Illeana moved to Albuquerque, NM to study at the Conservatory of Flamenco Arts where she soon became a member of Alma Flamenca, then, Yjastros: the American Flamenco Repertory Company. That year, Illeana got accepted to the MFA program at UNM where she studied with Eva Encinias- Sandoval. In May 2010, she was awarded an MFA in dance. Illeana has gained professional experience working in various companies including Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, Theresa Cardenas Theater Company, the Juan Siddi Flamenco Theater Company, and Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana. As a company member of the Juan Siddi Flamenco Theater Company, and Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, Illeana has shared the stage with artists such as Coral de Los Reyes, Jose Valle “Chuscales,” Jesule de Utrera, Kina Mendez. In addtition she has had the great opportunity of working in tablaos with such artists as Saray Muñoz, Pedro Cortez, and Auxi Fernandez.
About Domino MartinezDomino Martinez is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has been dancing flamenco since the age of 5 inspired by her mother and her aunt. At age 13 Domino was invited to join Maria Benitez’s youth flamenco company the *Next Generation* and within a few years she began teaching for the Maria Benitez’s Institute for Spanish Arts. She then moved on to dance in Maria’s Benitez *Teatro Flamenco* with artists such as Antonio Granjero, La Tania, Juan Siddi, and Carola Zertche. She has lived and studied in Southern Spain twice learning and living the flamenco "vida." In Spain she was able to study with artists such as in Pilar Ogalla, Andres Pena, Juana Amaya, Andres Marin, Rafael Campallo, Adela Campallo, Manuela Carrasco,Manuel Betanza, Isabel Bayon, Pastora Galvan ect. Domino has performed in venues throughout northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. She has performed in various companies including Compañia Chuscales, Encuentro Flamenco, Flamenco por Derecho, Miel Amarga, and Alma Flamenca. Most recently, Domino performed with Antonio Granjero's Company "Entre Flamenco" in their production of "Flamencas," which ran fall 2011 at the Lodge Hotel of Santa Fe. Domino has also created her own company called "Flamenco ConPaz." The group includes various artists from New Mexico as well as the United States. She currently performs at El Meson in Santa Fe every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, the Taos Inn every 2nd Saturday of the month as well as serveral other venues in Northern New Mexico. Domino’s passion, emotions and soul are translated and felt through her unique interpretation of flamenco. Something she feels she can not live without.
