Winter/Spring 2013 Kids Flamenco Classes

Pricing...

$65 per month (most months include 8 classes)
$40 for four classes in a single month (one day per week)
$15 per one class Drop-In Fee

Flamenco Classes from January 15th to May 23rd, 2013
Class Levels offered...

Flamenco Introduction

Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm
(Ages 5-8) This class is for beginner students in the 5-8 age group. In this Flamenco class students will learn the basics of Spanish Dance.

Flamenco Level 1

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm
(Ages 9-12) This class is for students who have been promoted from Flamenco Intro or new students in the 9-12 age group. Younger students with prior consistent Flamenco experience may be eligible for this class.

Flamenco Level 2

Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm
(Ages 7-14) This class is for more advanced students who have studied flamenco for at least 1.5 years and/or have been promoted from the Level 1 class.  Younger students with prior consistent Flamenco experience may be eligible for this class.

Children's Classes Instructor: Benigna Sanchez

A Santa Fe native, Benigna has studied ballet, flamenco and jazz dance. She is a former member of Maria Benitez’s Next Generation. She has toured nationally dancing flamenco with Eva Enciñias-Sandoval and Pablo Rodarte. She also directed the Children’s Division of National Institute of Flamenco when it was in its infancy and taught flamenco at the University of New Mexico where she performed for both the UNM Ballet and Flamenco companies. She also worked with Eva Enciñias-Sandoval in organizing the dance workshops for the International Flamenco Festival held at UNM annually. She taught ballet and danced as a soloist for New Mexico Ballet Company. She was the Director of the Children’s Program for Patricia Dickinson’s Dance Theatre of the Southwest.
